NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA MASTERCHEFS 
MEET FOR FIRST TIME

Australia's first Masterchef Julie Goodwin, touring NZ this past week on a promotional tour for her book, Our Family Table,(Random House), was in Christchurch last night and met up with New Zealand's first Masterchef Brett McGregor.

 Between them they  wowed a 150-strong audience with their entertaining stories about life on the set of the iconic cooking competition. Kate Fraser, Food Editor from The Press bantered with Julie and Brett before opening the floor to questions, of which there were many.
The crowd were warm and enthusiastic, queuing to buy copies of Julie's book afterwards and keen to know when Brett's will come out - hopefully for Mother's Day 2011 but I will keep in touch with publishers Random House and readers of this blog will be the first to know about it!
