Turning over a New Leaf in the Book World

Gillian Tewsley is leaving Penguin Books New Zealand and starting up her own publishing business, Pepperleaf Publishing, in converted shearers’ quarters in the orchard on the ‘farm’ ,(seven chooks, a ewe and two lambs),half an hour north of Auckland.

Gillian is well known in the book world having worked with what seems like a wider collection of publishing houses than most, including Oxford University Press, Auckland University Press, Random, CCH, Reed and Penguin (where she headed up the Raupo imprint). She has been a mentor to others in publishing, and a motivating force as a member (and convenor for seven years) of Local Publishers Forum (http://www.lpf.org.nz/ – check out the freelancers directory).

Making the most of her experience and expertise, Gillian offers a range of quality publishing and editorial services on any topic (almost!), but specialising in art and design, Maori, natural history, literary fiction, outdoors, gardening ... and cookbooks. Gillian can be contacted at: gillian@pepperleaf.co.nz.

The Pepperleaf logo is presently being designed and will be seen here on the blog shortly.
The Bookman wishes Gillian every success in her new venture, she certainly brings a swag of experience to the role.
