Kingi McKinnon wrote fiction for children and young adults. He was widely published, won a number of awards, and was an inaugural tutor on the Waiariki Creative Writing programme. Kingi passed away in 2006, and the scholarship is in honour and memory, and in response to his passion to encourage new writers.
*You may have published up to 3 pieces of writing for low or no pay. Please advise on application.
