Rowling launches "mysterious" website

Harry Potter fans have been reacting with excitement to a mysterious website launched by J K Rowling.

Pottermore.com features a pink holding page with the description "coming soon" and Rowling’s signature underneath.

The website was discovered by fans after a "Secret Street View" challenge where 10 Potter websites were given co-ordinates that led to a different letter in the Pottermore name being revealed, Digital Spy reports.
The letters were pieced together to reveal the website's address.
Pottermore.com has sparked rumours that more Harry Potter novels are on the way, but Rowling’s PR company Stone Hill Salt told The Bookseller that was not the case.

A spokeswoman said: "It is not another Harry Potter book but we cannot reveal any more at this stage, fans will have to keep an eye on the website. It will be launching soon."
The spokeswoman refused to confirm if the site was linked to the release of the author’s e-books.
