"Finally, a tip of the Giro to Jules Older has been awarded the
Mitch Kaplan Award by the NASJA board for his excellence and enthusiasm in
snowsports coverage.
This award, named for the late NASJA Secretary- Treasurer and
multiple Harold Hirsch and Lowell Thomas Awards winner, was created to annually
honor a journalist who embodies Mitch's spirit and dedication to snowsports
journalism."
