| | Man Booker Prize shortlist revealed Tom McCarthy, Marlon James, Chigozie Obioma, Sunjeev Sahota, Anne Tyler and Hanya Yanagihara have been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2015.
The shortlist for the £50,000 prize was announced today (Tuesday) at a press conference in London.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London’s Guildhall on 13th October. |

| | Dugher appointed shadow culture secretary Michael Dugher has been revealed as the new shadow secretary of state for culture media and sport, under the Labour party’s new leader, Jeremy Corbyn.
Dugher, who managed the campaign for Labour leadership candidate Andy Burnham, has been MP for Barnsley East since 2010 and today replaces Chris Bryant as the shadow secretary for culture. |

| | Atom to publish 10th anniversary Twilight edition Little, Brown imprint Atom will next month publish a bonus edition of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight, featuring exclusive bonus content, to mark 10 years since the book was first released.
The book will be published worldwide in hardback (£16.99) and e-book (£9.99) on 6th October, although the nature of the exclusive content is currently under wraps.
Author Meyer will also be signing the book at events in New York and LA and will be appearing at Comic Con in New York in October. |

Carolyn Thorne, editorial director for HarperThorsons, bought UK and Commonwealth rights at auction for two books from Becca Barr at Becca Barr Management, with Carly Cook as writer and consultant. |

| | Michael O'Mara launches colouring book app Michael O’Mara Books has launched a free colouring app in response “to the increased need for a weapon against stress and anxiety in our busy lives”.
The app contains a collection of adult colouring images, which can be coloured in using different methods.
Users can either tap an area of the screen to apply block colour or use the pen tool to create free-flowing lines and swirls.
There is also an opacity setting that allows users to create layered shading effects and images can be shared on social networks. |

| | Egmont acquires two more books in Woodfine series Egmont has signed a deal for books three and four in Katherine Woodfine’s middle-grade mystery series, set in an Edwardian department store.
Books three and four will continue the adventure, starring young detectives Sophie Taylor and Lilian Rose, and will be published in spring and autumn 2017. Hannah Sandford, senior fiction editor, and Sarah Hughes, publishing director, negotiated the deal for world English language rights with Louise Lamont of LBA Literary Agency. |
