A Book Prize That Bridges the Atlantic
Writer and critic Olivia Laing and author and journalist Erica Wagner, winners of the 2014 Eccles British Library Writer in Residence Award, have each been awarded £20,000 and will start their residency at the Eccles Centre on January 2, 2014. How Much Do Self-Pubbed Authors Make?: In short, not much. According to data from a new survey from Digital Book World and Writer’s Digest, the median income range for self-published authors is under $5,000 and nearly 20% of self-published authors report deriving no income from their writing.
