Bargain hunter makes good
A bargain hunter bought a rare travel book owned by Victorian explorer David Livingstone for 99p at a car boot sale – and sold it at auction for £3,000.

Edward Davies was searching through a box of old books at his local car boot sale when he stumbled across the book Livingstone’s Missionary Travels in South Africa, which carried a personal inscription.

He bought it for just under £1 from the unsuspecting book seller and has now sold it for 3,000 times that.
