WILD SWANS AUTHOR
JUNG CHANG EVENT, 10 MARCH
Jung Chang
returns to Auckland for an exclusive event on Monday 10th March,
presented by the Auckland Writers Festival in association with Random
House. Best known for her international bestseller Wild Swans,
Chang’s latest book is Empress
Dowager Cixi: The Concubine Who Launched Modern China, the
story of one of the most intriguing and ruthless figures of
19th century China. The session includes a special
presentation, audience Q&A and book signing. Monday 10th

FESTIVAL STAFF
As May 2014 looms, we welcome Jennifer Duval-Smith as
Acting Marketing & Development Manager. Jennifer comes to us
with strong marketing and digital experience as a former director of
public relations company Bullet PR and former marketing manager of
business newspaper National Business Review. Operations

Evans is back on deck to oversee 2014 production,
and we’re thrilled to announce the return in January of former staff
member Eleanor
Congreve, home from the United Kingdom to take up a
contract role as Associate Producer of the 2014 Festival.
