'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer is facing plagiarism allegations from a relatively unknown novelist.

'Breaking Dawn,' the fourth novel in Meyer's wildly successful vampire series.
"Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer may be a superhero to some, but to one fellow writer she's definitely the villain.
The mega-selling author of "Twilight," "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn" is being made into a storybook heroine herself, courtesy of the Female Force comic book series, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The comic puts Meyer in the company of Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and Princess Diana, all of whom have served as subjects for the series of graphic biographies of women who've made a big cultural impact.
The comic books featuring Meyer will hit stores in advance of the latest "Twilight" movie, "New Moon," which arrives in theaters in November.
While the team behind the Female Force comics, Bluewater Productions, are clearly Meyer fans, word of her star turn arrived in tandem with some less welcome news: She's being sued for plagiarism.
Author Jordan Scott has sent a cease and desist letter to Hachette Book Group, the publisher of "Breaking Dawn," claiming passages in the fourth book in Meyer's series bear "striking and substantial similarity" to portions of Scott's book "The Nocturne," TMZ.com reported.
That novel was published on the Internet in 2006, two years before "Breaking Dawn" hit shelves in 2008, the letter contends. In the document, posted on TMZ's Web site, Scott's lawyers detail the books' similarities. Both, for instance, include a post-wedding sex scene, a woman who is ill because she's pregnant with a child with evil powers, and a scene in which the main character's wife dies.
The same might be said for a slew of vampire books, but Scott contends the verbiage in the two tomes is also spookily close, and the document provides pages of examples.
