BLOKES. JOKES & SHEDS

Chris Slane is a brilliant cartoonist with a sharp sense of humour and I have to say that this zany collection of cartoons had me laughing out loud.

The collection is inspired by his popular series of cartoons, mostly in full colour, for The Shed Magazine and they observe this iconic building and what it means to Kiwi men.
Slane is one of our leading cartoonists whose work is found in The Listener, Metro and AA Directions. He is also known as a cutting political cartoonist, has written a graphic novel, and is a skilled puppet-maker.

Below are a couple of cartoons from the book that especially appealed to me.

Blokes, Jokes & Sheds is published this Friday, August 7, by Random HOuse. RRP $24.99. If you are at a loss as to what to give your old man for Fathers Day next month then this hilarious book might be the answer.
