FOOTNOTE:
Not surprisingly I guess the list is dominated by popular fiction but it is interesting, and pleasing to observe the significant number of childrens books in the top 100 including a very old title at #9, Tim & Charlotte by Edward Ardizzone. I am a huge fan of the late Edward Ardizzone and had many of his picture books when my family were young.

I also think it is great to see the children's books included here. They are often deliberately separated out of lists like this, so good to see them recognised alongside the adult books.
