Whitcoulls have teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox to launch an
exclusive competition on Facebook, just ahead of the highly-anticipated film
release of The Fault in Our Stars, in New Zealand on June 5, 2014.
Whitcoulls launch their consumer competition on Facebook on May 15,
2014, giving New Zealanders the chance to host a private screening of The
Fault in Our Stars in the closest cinema to their home town for up to 100
people. The competition runs until May 29, 2014.
To enter, consumers simply visit Whitcoulls on Facebook at www.facebook.com/whitcoulls,
upload a ‘selfie’ with a copy of John Green’s bestselling book The Fault in
Our Stars, and say why they are the biggest fan. The competition will be
promoted in Whitcoulls stores nationwide, on their website and in weekly emails
to their database from May 19, 2014.
Whitcoulls Head Book Buyer Joan Mackenzie, and ‘face’ behind Whitcoulls Joan’s
Picks describes The Fault in Our Stars as, “A magnificent book about two teenagers with cancer –
and no, it’s not a horror show but actually a truly uplifting story about
Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace, the things in life that really matter, and how
two people facing the worst, learn to really live their lives. This is a book
with intelligence, compassion and wit – and you end up with so much admiration
for these kids that they’ll stay with you for a very long time.”
