SABOTAGE! The Diary of Rowan Webb, Auckland, 1985
By Sharon Holt - Scholastic - $16.99

The Rainbow Warrior was the flagship of the Greenpeace movement, when it was sunk by agents of the French Foreign Intelligence (DGSE), while anchored in Auckland harbour, on the 10th of July 1985.

In this My Story, 13-year-old Rowan Webb gets herself a French penpal, and unwittingly becomes involved in an event that shocks not only the nation – but the whole world. Another great story in the immensely popular My Story series from Scholastic, for 10+ years of age.

About the author - Sharon Holt was born in Auckland, and has been a published writer since 2001. She has published 24 fiction and non-fiction stories, picture books, poems and plays. Her stories are about daily family life, and many of her children’s stories have a ‘story behind the story’.
She now lives in the small Waikato town of Kihikihi.

One of her previous titles, It’s True! You Can Make Your Own Jokes, illustrated by Ross Kinnaird, was shortlisted for the non-fiction category of the 2007 New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children and Young People. This book was also on the Storylines 2007 Notable Books list.
