VISITING US POET IN AUCKLAND
Aucklanders are fortunate enough to have a fine young American poet based in Edinburgh in our midst.
He is Ryan van Winkle, and aside from being the author of a first collection by top UK indy poetry publisher, Salt, he’s also Reader in Residence at the Scottish Poetry Library, charged with bringing as much worldwide poetry to the Scottish Poetry Library.
Ryan has just been a guest at the Melbourne Writers Festival and is over here in Auckland for a week meeting up with poets, doing readings (Guest at Poetry Live tonight) and recording podcasts with NZ poetic figures which will be uploaded to the Scottish Poetry Library website upon his return.
