Former leading New Zealand publisher and bookseller, and widely experienced judge of both the Commonwealth Writers Prize and the Montana New Zealand Book Awards, talks about what he is currently reading, what impresses him and what doesn't, along with chat about the international English language book scene, and links to sites of interest to booklovers.
What a wonderful link Bookman - I've just popped in to see where Seamus Heaney writes, Sri Hustved, Anne Enright, Martin Amis (love the story of the water bottles)... and how extraordinary that all these writers were/are happy to let us into their inner sanctuary so to speak. Such a distraction. I see Vanda has posted a picture of her writing den on her blog... It's great to see who has clutter and who hasn't - fascinating.
