Competition Guidelines: submissions
open through 23 May 2014
§ maximum three stories per person
$5 for one story/ $10 for 2-3
§ competition open to all NZ citizens and residents
§ open competition; no theme or prompt
§ only previously unpublished work will be considered
§ deadline for submissions: 23 May 2014 (midnight)
§ word limit: 300 excluding title
§ electronic submissions only -- see website for details of payment and entry
§ do not include your name or contact info on the attachment — any submissions with author name will be disqualified

Events
Prize-giving events will take place in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
We will be celebrating flash fiction all over New Zealand in June. Last year, events included regional writing competitions, a 24-hr write-in, workshops, flash presentations and readings — from Northland to Canterbury and many places in between.
We look forward to many flash happenings lighting up Aotearoa this year, too. If you would like to organise something in your area, get in touch!
