Passed through Foxton on Monday and saw that Ace Books on the main
road is for sale. Nice wee bookshop with a good reputation locally and a fine
record of sales on Trade Me. Owner Bob Ayson, who started in the book
trade with Collins Publishers back in the early 80s and commenced bookselling
in his native Shannon before relocating to Foxton, has decided to
retire. He has a loyal local clintele and of course a huge amount of
passing traffic.
