An evening with Rosetta Allan and 'Purgatory'

A lace collar. When: Wednesday 28 May, 6.30pm
Where: Remuera Library
Cost: $5

Come along to the launch of a fascinating new novel about an infamous crime in the dark heart of Victorian Auckland.

Purgatory by Rosetta Allan is the gripping story of the Finnegan family - four of whom are murdered in their beds in 1865 and buried in the back garden of the family cottage in Otahuhu.
Drawing from her own ancestors' experiences, Rosetta Allan has unearthed the facts about the murders and assembled it into a remarkable story that takes us from Dublin to Otahuhu.

Bring your frends and enjoy a glass of wine while you listen to Rosetta Allan introduce her new book.
Booking is recommended for this event. Please phone Remuera Library on 09 520 2532 to reserve your place.

"Vivid and engrossing, a novel about the brutal truths of our history, the shadowy secrets of our unwritten story". - Paula Morris
