All Schools Should Have A School Library And A Trained Librarian . . .by Law

Book2Book Tuesday 20 May 2014

Dear Ms Harman,

I enjoyed your presentation at the Publishers Association AGM last week and I hope you are now fully recovered.

In your presentation you asked the audience to suggest issues in relation to publishing that we would like to see in party manifestos. In particular you were looking for a key issue that would symbolise your commitment to universal entitlement to creativity.

I suggested that an ideal key issue would be for primary and secondary schools to be required by law to have a school library and a trained librarian.
