We are delighted to be hosting an event with 2 of the Poetry Finalists in the 2013 NZ Post Book Awards.

Former winner Anne Kennedy’s latest collection The Darling North is a poetry finalist & her new novel The Last Days of the National Costume has just been published to great acclaim.

We are sponsoring the NZ premiere of Gwen in Purgatory, a play by Tommy Murphy (Holding the Man) starring Elizabeth McRae & directed by her daughter Katherine McRae.
Ninety-year old Gwen tries to cope with a blistering array of modern gadgets whilst dealing with her fractious & demanding offspring!

Elizabeth & the team are raising money to stage the show through website Pledgeme. You can win book vouchers for The Women's Bookshop, tea & scones with the cast, tickets to opening night & a host of other pledge rewards from the Pledgeme website.
