The Friends of Takapuna Library invite you to join us for the launch of two
exciting new books.
Bev
Robitai's latest book is Sunstrike, a post-apocalyptic crime
novel set on an Earth paralysed by solar flares.
Shauna
Bickley's new thriller Lies of the dead explores how a legacy of
deceit may mean the truth comes at a cost too high to pay.

See internationally acclaimed forensic thriller writer Kathy Reichs in
conversation with foremost crime reviewer and book blogger Graham Beattie about
her work and new novel, Bones of the Lost.
From teaching FBI agents how to detect and recover human remains, to
identifying forensic evidence in her Montreal lab, Kathy Reichs has brought her
own dramatic work experience to her mesmerising forensic thrillers.
Reichs
is one of only 82 forensic anthropologists ever certified by the American Board
of Forensic Anthropology. She is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology
at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
This

open at 6pm when refreshments will be available for sale, before the event
