Dohle to be sole speaker at Frankfurt c.e.o. debate

Newly appointed Penguin Random House c.e.o. Markus Dohle is to be the single guest speaker at this year's Frankfurt c.e.o. debate, which is usually a panel event.

Dohle, who has kept a generally low profile in the media, will be interviewed at the event by the editors of book trade publications The Bookseller, Publishers Weekly, Livres Hebdo, buchreport and PublishNews Brazil, with Rüdiger Wischenbart moderating.

The Fair said the debate would explore topics such as how the formation of the largest trade publisher opens new horizons for the industry, including issues over digital developments, globalisation, the relevance of emerging markets and a reorganisation of the value chain, as well as how publishers can do business with players such as Amazon, Apple and Google on a global scale.
The event will take place on Wednesday 9th October, from 2.30 to 3.30 pm at room Dimension Hall 4.2 at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The access to the event is free of charge, but requires registration with the Frankfurt Book Fair.
