The Divine Muses provides an opportunity to hear leading New Zealand poets read their own poetry. The readings have taken place on the evening of National Poetry Day, since 2004.
This year’s poets: Albert Wendt, Siobhan Harvey, Kiri Pihana-Wong, Riemke Ensing, C K. Stead.
MC for the evening will be fellow poet Rosetta Allan.
To close the evening the winners of the NEW VOICES Emerging Poets Competition will be announced.
Judge Anna Hodge, Senior editor, Auckland University Press will name the winners who will then be invited to read their winning poem.
