Two giant figures of New Zealand writing reflect and reminisce on more than five decades of creative endeavour.
Poet, novelist, fiction writer, librettist and, most recently, painter, Kevin Ireland is a loved Devonport local, keen fisherman and cricket club regular. One of the original “sons of Sargeson”, he is now among the country’s most renowned and awarded poets.
Peter Bland is as a poet and actor, whose career has included 30 films, theatre, broadcasting, journalism and arts writing. He was a founding force in Downstage Theatre, where he helped to bring New Zealand stories to the stage.
