PANZ International Summit - 14 May


The PANZ International Summit 2015 featuring speakers from major publishing houses will be held at the Next Generation Health and Racquet Club, 1 Tennis Lane, Auckland Domain, Auckland on Thursday 14th May. Already confirmed are José Borghino, Policy Director, IPA, Will Atkinson, MD of Atlantic Books and Henry Rosenbloom, Founder and Publisher, Scribe.

“You won’t be our first Summit delegate, says organizer Ka Meechan. “That was Nevena Nikolic of Nielsen Book Services. But to get the Earlybird rate your registration form must be received no later than Friday 17 April.” 

 
In addition to the international speakers revealed last week, Ka has also announced that Paul Cleave (left), the Christchurch crime novelist, will discuss his international experience with PANZ President Sam Elworthy. Paul has had work translated into 15 languages and is currently concluding a series of events in Europe with his Danish, German and English publishers. Paul was one of the 22 Visiting Authors in the New Zealand Guest of Honour programme at the Taipei International Book Exhibition in February, where he has four novels in translation with a fifth due for publication later in 2015.

Seminar total costs include entry to all sessions, one networking breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and canapés with drinks to conclude the day.

  • Registration desk for trade publishers will open at 8.45am on 14 May for a 9.30am start. The Summit will conclude at 5.30pm with networking drinks
  • A networking breakfast for educational publishers commences at 8am on Thursday 14th May at Next Generation prior to the opening of the Summit.
  • A trade publishers networking breakfast will begin at 9am on Friday 15th May at a central venue. This will include an opportunity to pitch titles to the international publishers.  
For PANZ Members Earlybird registration by 17th April is $250 plus GST. Registration between 18 – 29 April is $295 plus GST.
