I am a prolific reader of crime fiction. I guess I read 80+ titles a year.Yesterday I finished Alan Carter's third title featuring WA detective,Cato Kwong, Bad Seed. What a great read, I was gripped from beginning to end.
The plotting, the characters, the twists and turns. I couldn't put it down and read it in two long sittings on consecutive afternoons. If you don't know this writer, (he is a part-time resident of Marlborough, NZ), and you like crime fiction then I urge you.to visit your bookseller and buy his three titles. I reckon we are going to hear a lot more about Alan Carter, I really rate him.
The story - When wealthy
property developer Francis Tan and his family are found slain in their mansion,
Cato Kwong is forced to recall a personal history that makes his investigation
doubly painful. The killer is elusive and brutal, and the investigation takes
Cato to Shanghai. In a world of spoilt rich kids and cyber dragons, Cato is
about to discover a whole lot more about the Chinese acquisition of Australian
land – about those who play the game and those who die trying.
