Huia Publishers are feeling happy !

11 November 2014 Two HUIA winners at 2014 CLNZ Publishing Awards Two HUIA titles were successful at the recent 2014 CLNZ Publishing Awards. Living by the Moon - Te Maramataka o Te Whānau-ā-Apanui by Wiremu Tawhai won Best Resource in Te Reo Māori while The Spirit of Māori Leadership by Selwyn Katene was a joint winner in the Best Resource in Tertiary Education. Authors and publishers heard from the panel of experienced judges challenge the industry to focus on student need - materials that actively engage their minds and stimulate them to want more. The judges for the CLNZ Awards were: Dr Jenny Robertson, Monitoring and Evaluation - Secondary Student Achievement,Education Faculty, University of Auckland Hone Apanui, an educator, writer, translator and editor in both English and Māori Dr Rebecca Jesson, Research Fellow, School of Curriculum and Pedagogy, Education Faculty, University of Auckland The full list of winners were: Best Resource in Primary Education Connected 2013 - Level 2 I Spy, Level 3 Food For Thought and Level 4 Are You Sure?
