Following great success in the US, the first book hackathon in the UK's results suggest the book is going to change, but it will still be a book, reports Monty Munford
Last weekend at London’s University College London, the future of the book publishing may have been glimpsed at the Futurebook hackathon, an overdue attempt in this country to redefine reading in the digital age.
Book hackathons have proved to be very successful in the US, but even supporters of the project such as trade title The Bookseller, book store Blackwell’s and literary agent William Morris Endeavor Entertainment were amazed at the response.
