Prior to the announcement of the winners of the NZ Post Book Awards, Te Tai Tamariki hosts our traditional “Best Picks” event.  It is always fascinating to see whose predictions have “nailed it”.

WHEN?   Wednesday 18 June at 6:30 p.m.

WHAT?    Panel members will review shortlisted books in each section of NZ Post    

                 Book Awards before predicting their “Best Pick” that might win that

                 section.

                 Those attending are encouraged to share their opinions and predictions.    

WHO?       Panel members are:-

                  Gavin Bishop     -     Picture Book section 

                  Bill Nagelkerke   -    Junior Fiction section

                  Trevor Agnew     -     Young Adult section

                  Desna Wallace     -     Non-fiction section

AUDIENCE?   Teachers, Librarians, Parents, Booksellers, Publishers . . . in fact

                        anyone who is interested in NZ Children’s Literature.
