1) NZ Book Month -
Panel
Discussion- "Taking Your YA Story from Manuscript to Publication".
John McIntyre of The Children's Bookshop will chair a panel of experts -publisher Jane Arthur of Gecko Press, authors Fleur Beale and Eirlys Hunter, and publicist and Director of Readers and Writers Week in 2014, Kathryn Carmody to demystify the publishing process.
You are welcome to join us for the panel at The Children's Bookshop at 1.30pm on Sunday 24th March - we haven't set a fee, but ask only that attendees buy a $5 book token from us and we'll send the proceeds to our chosen organisation, He Huarahi Tamariki -the School for Teenage Parents in Tawa.

Wellington for several months as Mal teaches a creative writing course at
the Institute of Modern Letters.

Wellington Launch of A
Winter's Day in 1939 by Melinda Szymanik
Melinda Szymanik, The Wellington Children's Book Association, and
The Children's Bookshop invite you to the Wellington launch of
"A Winter's Day in 1939".
This is Melinda's new novel on life in Poland at the start of WW2,
based on the life of her own father, Leslek Szymznik.
The launch is at The Children's Bookshop, Kilbirnie Plaza at 3pm,
Saturday, April 13th.
