Lambton Quay Whitcoulls move tipped

Whitcoulls is preparing to move out of its Lambton Quay store in central Wellington, but is staying mum on its plans.
The heritage building has been deemed earthquake- prone by Wellington City Council and needs to be strengthened.
The Dominion Post understands Whitcoulls plans to move into its other store on Lambton Quay, the former Borders shop, by May 31.
Whitcoulls declined to comment on its Wellington plans, or say if jobs would go.

I couldn't see why they didn't close down the old whitcoulls anyway. The current set-up in the Borders is much more customer friendly.
