Open Road Media is publishing the British erotic series Eighty Days in North America. The trilogy was published by Orion in the U.K. in early August and has, per Open Road, become a bestseller and sparked big ticket bids for translation rights. The series is set in New York and London and written by an anonymous pair of authors--supposedly both are published, and one of them works in publishing--writing under the pseudonym Vina Jackson. The series follows two strangers with, as Open Road explained, a "taste for domination," who start a "passionate, turbulent, and sexually charged relationship."
The first title in the series, Eighty Days Yellow, will be released by Open Road as an e-riginal on September 18. Speaking to the acquisition, Tina Pohlman, publisher of Open Road, said: "We recognize that readers are hungry for romantic fiction with an edge, and we believe Vina Jackson's delicious Eighty Days trilogy serves up a spicy and sophisticated addition to the genre."
