The Wellington Children's Book Association is pleased to announce a special evening:
Book Publisher, Ann Mallinson in conversation with Author, Fleur Beale.
Ann Mallinson (pic left) and Fleur Beale have both made an immense contribution to children's publishing in New Zealand. They reflect on writing, publishing and the art of story from both sides of the children's book industry.
Monday 17th August, 7.00pm.
Turnbull House, Bowen St, Wellington
Wine and Cheese, no door charge, all welcome. A brief AGM will precede the event.
The Bookman reckons that saying that these two remarkably talented women "have both made an immense contribution to children's publishing in New Zealand" is a serious understatement!
I wish I could be there to hear them in conversation. Best wishes to the Association for a memorable evening and my thanks, and admiration, to Ann and Fleur for all they have done in the interests of literature and literacy over their long and distinguished careers.
