It's time to chase up those last details and get your submission together for the 1000 Great New Zealand eBooks project!

This initiative has been gaining international attention and will be the primary focus of our activitites for 2010, both within and outside New Zealand. Our aim is to get NZ's publishing and bookselling industries up-and-running, to get the public e-Reading, and, of course, to bring some money into your coffers.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 August 2009.

You can download a form from the Digital Publishing Forum website at digitalpublishing.org.nz/ebooks.
Please note that the submission in no way binds you or commits you to the project but it provides essential information to help us to move it forward and work with you to get your books digitised and available to sample, sell, rent or lend wthin New Zealand and internationally.

On 3 September, we'll be holding a free open forum to update you on the project, its progress, plans and a go-to-market strategy. It will be an opportunity to share ideas, present opportunities and get your questions answered.
The details of this free open forum are:
Date: 3 September 2009
Venue: Jubilee Hall, Jubilee Building, 545 Parnell Rd, Auckland
Time: 1:30pm - 3:00pm (follows the Workshop: How to make an eBook)
Cost: Free, no registration required

Details of the preceding workshop and venue: digitalpublishing.org.nz/events
We look forward to seeing you on 3 September and receiving your submissions for the 1000 Great New Zealand eBooks project by 31 August 2009.
