Richard and Judy’s Book Club ran from 2004 until 2008 on Channel 4, on Watch until 2009 and continues in a lucrative online tie-up with WHSmith. The publicity generates millions of pounds for publishers with featured books invariably going on to be bestsellers.
Now the Loose Women are launching Loose Books – which insiders predict will be a similarly massive success.
