The Song of Kauri

I recently launched my new picture book The Song of Kauri (published by Scholastic with an English version in hardback and a Maori version in softback).

I've been down in Dunedin as the 2014 University of Otago College of Education, Creative New Zealand Children's Writer in residence and one of the lovely bonuses of this has been having music composed for the book by Mozart Fellow, Jeremy Mayall. He's put together a video with his music, Dominique Ford's lovely illustrations and my reading of the story.

To get the embed code for the audio player:

1. click on the link above

2. underneath where it says write a comment (under the picture of the soundwave) there is a button that says "SHARE"

3. Click that button

4. To share on social media etc - you just need the original link - it will automatically do the rest.

5. To embed in a website/blog: click where it says "EMBED" after you are in the Share screen.

6. Copy the code (if using a wordpress site, click where it says wordpress code) 7. Paste into the page editor for your site and then it should all be good!
