About the author

GARRIE HUTCHINSON has authored and edited over 30 books, including the award-winning Pilgrimage: A Traveller’s Guide to Australia’s Battlefields. Combining a vast military knowledge with his own travel experiences, he takes his readers on journeys around the world uncovering the history of the great wars and those who fought in them.

Pilgrimage contains beautiful photographs of various sites are interspersed throughout the book along with individual breakout boxes of New Zealand soldiers who fought in the wars. Many historical facts and accounts are given of the battles that were fought in each location.
