Faber is teaming up with independent publisher And Other Stories to help give a wider release to the mass market edition of Man Booker Prize-longlisted title Swimming Home by Deborah Levy.
And Other Stories, which only began releasing books in the past 12 months, said that the partnership will help give Swimming Home the attention it deserves.
Publisher Stefan Tobler said: “We want to grow at the right pace and give our list all our attention—while ensuring that Deborah Levy’s extraordinary novel reaches every possible reader, now that the Man Booker Prize spotlight is bringing it to so many new fans.”
Faber editor Mary Morris praised And Other Stories for its achievements so far and said the company was "proud" to be co-publishing the Man Booker contender. “In a very short time And Other Stories has built an impressive reputation as an independent with great imagination and editorial discernment, and Faber is proud to have this association with the company,” Morris said.
The novel - the story of a group of tourists in the French Riviera whose lives come apart over the course of one week - will be published as a mass market paperback on 10th September at a price of £7.99, following its original release in October last year.
