Prince William let his children’s preference slip as he met primary school kids at the opening of a new library at Oxford University
The future king spoke of his family's fondness of the popular children's book as he opened Oxford University's Weston Library.
Meeting children from nearby Pegasus Primary School on his arrival at the building, he spent several minutes chatting to them about books and lessons.
Afterwards Xiomara, eight, said: "His favourite book was the Gruffalo."
When asked if the book by Julia Donaldson was a favourite with William or his children, she replied: "His and his children."
