Family of Swallows and Amazons Titty 'furious' as BBC film changes her to Tatty
The family of the woman who inspired Arthur Ransome's character Titty in Swallows and Amazons have told of their fury after the new BBC film changed her name to Tatty.
Barbara Altounyan, the niece of Titty Altounyan, said her descendants are "absolutely furious" the name had been swapped without consultation, accusing filmmakers of acting in a "disgustingly pompous" manner. Telegraph
