Unicorn Bookshop in Warkworth - a wee gem
Last Saturday a TV3 news reporter interviewed me about the Hachette NZ restructuring news that had broken late the day before.
I was in Warkworth at the time so they filmed me in the Unicorn Bookshop.
I had driven past this shop on several occasions but had never gone inside.
And what a gem it turned out to be - crammed full of mainly used books but with a good sprinkling of new books too.
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable owner Tania Casey showed me about while the TV3 cameraman set up and I was impressed by the huge and fascinating range of titles. Then I was seated on one of the colourful patchwork-covered couches for the interview.
Unicorn Books are at 15 Neville Road, Warkworth and I can warmly recommend a visit.
