J.K Rowling, with the help of Robert Galbraith, had the two top-selling books for the week ended July 28 at outlets that report their print sales to Nielsen BookScan. The Cuckoo’s Calling was #1 with about 66,000 copies sold, while the trade paperback edition of The Casual Vacancy sold approximately 28,000 copies at BookScan outlets.
Danielle Steel also placed two books on the overall top five bestsellers of last week. The hardcover edition of First Sight sold about 23,000 copies, good enough for fourth place, while the mass market edition of Friends Forever sold 21,000 copies, placing it fifth. Dan Brown’s Inferno came between the Rowling/Galbraith and Steel titles.
