Atkinson novel heads to the screen

Entertainment company Lionsgate has acquired film rights to Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.

Scriptwriters Semi Temple and Esta Spalding will adapt the book for the screen, with production company Temple Hill Entertainment producing the film, according to reports.
Temple has co-written episodes of TV drama Mad Men, while Spalding has written for several TV programmes and films.

The book was published in March by Doubleday, and was nominated for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2013. It follows the story of Ursula Todd, a woman born in 1910 who is able to relive her life again and again.
