Conservation
Minister Maggie Barry opened the upgraded Hooker Track and the Blue
Lakes Track at Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park on Friday and in a lovely
combination of two of her portfolios, Conservation & Arts and Culture, she
was also presented with a copy of the recently released book High Country
Stations of the Mackenzie which celebrates the past and present of this
amazing area.
The book is by local author Mary Hobbs and is published by
Potton & Burton.
