Marketing & Publicity Assistant (Part time) Wanted

JOB ROLE: Marketing & Publicity Assistant (Part time)
20 hours per week across 4/5 days

About the Company:
The Hachette New Zealand sales and marketing office is based in central Auckland and is part of Hachette Livre, one of the world’s largest publishers. We represent a stellar collection of authors including Stephen King, Donna Tartt, John Grisham, Nora Roberts, JK Rowling and the Edmonds brand. Our dynamic and creative team work with a wide variety of genres and authors across many platforms. We are looking for a well-organised and creative person who loves books to join us.

Main Tasks:
·         Responsibility for regular administrative tasks involved in the running of a publicity and marketing department.
·         Media support including drafting press releases, mailouts and managing book requests.
·         Assisting with digital media campaigns, setting up Facebook promotions, executing competition mailouts and sending out regular newsletters.

Skills required:
·         Excellent communication and written ability (job will involve writing copy, preparing press releases and compiling reports).
·         Enthusiastic and well organised, able to work to a deadline.
·         Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
·         Knowledge of digital platforms including Shortstack and Mailchimp would be useful.
