Will Greg Heffley be getting his kicks on Route... 9? Ahead of the Bologna Children's Book Fair, Abrams Books for Young Readers has announced the publication of the ninth title in Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. And as the teaser art Kinney created for the book makes clear, the Heffleys are getting out of town. more

Jean Craighead George's Children
Complete Her Final Novel

When Newbery Medalist Jean Craighead George, author of more than 100 children's books, died in 2012 at the age of 92, she was in the process of writing "Ice Whale," a sprawling novel about a bowhead whale's 200-year bond with an Eskimo clan in northern Alaska. After their mother's death, Craig George and Twig George teamed up with Lucia Monfried, the novelist's longtime editor, to complete the middle-grade novel, which will be published in May. more

Meet the Artist! Series Introduces Princeton Architectural Press to Children's Market
Three-dimensional pop-ups, removable artwork, flaps and tabs, and art activity suggestions and materials are among the many interactive components of the new Meet the Artist! series, which debuts this month with "Alexander Calder" and "Pablo Picasso." Written by Patricia Geis, a graphic designer, author, and illustrator, the paper-over-board series marks the press's first foray into the children’s book market. A third volume, "Henri Matisse," is due in September. more
