Last week, Google unveiled Google+, a series of social tools to create sharing networks, interactive chats and video conferences with online friends.
The program is still in beta, but you can follow this link to sign up for updates. To learn more about how authors are using the service, we’ve put together a list of five authors to follow on Google +1, and ranked them by their number of followers.
1. Robert Scoble: Social networking guru and author is currently No. 5 on Google+
2.Leo Laporte: Radio host and author is currently No. 7 on Google+
3. Gina Trapani: Lifehacker.com founder and author is currently No. 10 on Google+
4. Kevin Rose: Digg founder (who is currently working on a book called One To One Million) is currently No. 11 on Google+
5. Jeff Jarvis: Digital journalism expert and author is currently No. 15 on Google+
