For the
19th year The Going
West Books and Writers Festival offers audiences a smorgasbord of literary
delights in an atmosphere of intimacy and undeniable ease between audiences and
writers. Murray Gray, assisted by Robyn Mason, has again designed a dynamic
programme : a mixture of new authors and the changing world of letters
and publishing along with an exploration of past writing and writers, both the
well-known and the obscure.
All
Literary Weekend sessions take place in the Titirangi War Memorial Hall,
transformed into a comfortable conference space and with back to back
programming. Sessions are leavened with breaks for food and local wine,
affording opportunities to talk with fellow guests and writers.
Come
for one session, come for a day, or immerse yourself in Going West for the
whole weekend.
