Prior to the announcement of the winners of the NZ Book Awards, “Painted Stories” (Te Tai Tamariki) hosts our traditional “Best Picks” event.  It is always fascinating to see whose predictions have “nailed it”.

WHEN?   Wednesday, 3 August at 6:15 p.m.

WHAT?    Panel members will review shortlisted books in each section of NZ Post    

                 Book Awards before predicting their “Best Pick” that might win that

                 section.

                 Those attending are encouraged to share their opinions and predictions.    

WHO?       Panel members are:-

                  Jamie Pearson     -     Picture Book section 

                  Trevor Agnew   -    Junior Fiction section

                  Saskia Hill     -     Young Adult section

                  Student Voice from two school

                      commenting on the short list      -      Non-fiction section

 

AUDIENCE?   Teachers, Librarians, Parents, Booksellers, Publishers . . . in fact

                        anyone who is interested in NZ Children’s Literature.
